Teeing Up Community Support

Highlights from Our Danny Byatt Memorial Golf Day

2.jpg

What a splendid day we had at the Danny Byatt Memorial Golf Day! Thanks to the incredible generosity of every participant, we raised a remarkable £9,000 for the Walker Construction Trust. Funds that will go straight back into supporting projects and people in our communities.

A huge round of applause to our champions on the green:

• Jack Payne, who clinched the victory with an impressive 43 points

• Daniel Corner, who powered home the longest drive

• Jack Cox, whose precision won him nearest the pin

None of this would have been possible without our superb organising team. A heartfelt thank you to Paul McLean (Jocko!), Thomas Glass, Joelle Arran-Scott and Melanie Forrest for orchestrating every detail so seamlessly. And to Lydd Golf Course, your warm hospitality set the perfect scene for our day of friendly competition.

We’re also extremely grateful to all our players, teams and prize donors, including Topdeck, PG Site Services, Payne Groundworks & Civils Ltd, Green Business & Construction Hub, Brown & Brown, Countryside Group S-E Ltd, Precision Placements, Simple Site Solutions Ltd, KP Groundworks & Building, DDL Group | Devine Direct Labour Ltd, Cobalt Plant Hire Limited, Groundforce, Elmec (Southern) Limited, JAGER Electrical Contractors Limited, Keaveney Group, CTA Surfacing, Gallagher Group Ltd and Remediology (SE) Limited. Your support truly made this event a triumph.

Although the elusive hole-in-one on the 14th (and the tempting £10,000 prize!) evaded us this year, we’re already sharpening our irons and aiming high for 2026. Here’s to even more fun, fellowship and fundraising on the fairways next time around!
