Works were completed to this phased project which included refurbishment upgrade works to the existing school built in 1939.
This was followed on with extensive ground works to provide a structural foundation for a new 160t steel frame structure for the new extension.
The scheme also involved external landscaping works to the existing playground and creation of a new play area for the year 2 pupils.
The phased works were programmed and planned as follows:

Refurbishment and upgrade work to the existing 1939 school. These comprised of providing new internal doors to meet current building regulations, M&E upgrade works to the existing ventilation and heating, new LED lighting and decoration to existing classrooms and circulation areas

New extension to existing school. Excavation for new concrete pads and foundations to facilitate the new 160t steel frame that would accommodate a new multi-use hall, commercial kitchen and teaching spaces, along with a bespoke 60m roof top running track.

External landscaping. Introduction of new 100m2 timber decking to the playground complete with bench seating and trees, new sand pit and wildlife area to the existing pond and a large play area for year 2 pupils.
