Building
We have a solid reputation for undertaking educational, healthcare, community facilities, industrial, retail and refurbishment projects for both public and private sector clients. We can operate under traditional contract, on a 'Design and Build' basis or as works packages on major schemes and under local and central government framework contracts. Working within the education sector requires a specialist and sensitive approach to the bespoke nature of every individual project. Walker Construction meticulously plan and strictly control the highest standards of health and safety on these sites which can range from primary schools to special needs schools and young offenders institutions.
Rail & Structures
Walker Construction provides a wide range of civil, building, mechanical and electrical services across the rail network. Our experienced Rail Division have successfully delivered schemes in what is commonly know as a 'challenging environment' focusing on safe, timely delivery in line with the clients operational and quality aspirations whilst minimising the impact on the live infrastructure. We have the ability to deliver a wide range of integrated and sustainable solutions for our clients who include Network Rail, HS1, train operating companies and multi-ntional contractors within the rail industry.
Civil Engineering
With over 50 years of experience in delivering infrastructure projects for local/central government and developers we can provide a complete construction package, especially suited to Section 106 & 278 works agreements. We can provide a 'Design and Build' service focusing on added value, innovation engineering, utilising up-to-date techniques to minimise waste and reduce costs. We have the ability to respond to any situation using our own directly employed, multi-skilled workforce supported by experienced, robust project management and planning skills.
