The Norman Tailyour House project involved the remodelling and refurbishment of the existing accommodation to provide 18 self-contained, high quality flats and to upgrade the thermal fabric of the building.

The works being carried out included: a new roof, thermally insulated exterior walls, new windows and doors, together with internal works to all flats to include new kitchens and bathrooms throughout.

The existing building was not structurally sound so there were numerous site meetings and visits with the client and structural engineer to confirm how to proceed and add in additional supports to the roof and first floor.

The works also included the construction of a small extension to the front of the property to extend the communal areas and a small extension to the rear for mobility scooters.

The flats have been designed to meet modern standards and with facilities appropriate to the needs of older and disabled people.
