Founded in 1999 Walker Training was originally established to fulfill the training requirements of our parent company. Over the past decade we have expanded and now deliver training from our purpose built Training Centre in Folkestone, Kent and client premises throughout the South and Midlands expanding the range and type of courses we offer.
Our ethos is to make the workplace safer and more environmentally friendly by training personnel to perform effectively and professionally.
We believe in delivering high quality, yet cost effective training and are flexible regarding the differing needs of companies. As well as conducting the courses at our centre in Folkestone, we can provide the courses on-site; and courses can be tailored to suit each client’s specific requirements.
We are committed to training for the future.
The centre comprises of two modern training rooms with all the appropriate training aids and plenty of free parking.
Candidates are supplied with writing materials, relevant handouts and refreshments; lunch is provided on full day courses.
For practical courses i.e. Abrasive Wheels or NRSWA Operatives, all plant and appropriate materials are provided, although candidates are requested to bring their own PPE – which is stated on their joining instructions.
A specially developed area for the Street Works courses has been constructed and we have the necessary materials/plant including all signage and portable traffic signals.
These courses can range in length from a half day course to a programme of weekly classes. We are able to call upon the expertise of our highly skilled instructors who have the experience and knowledge within their respective subjects.
