Contracts List 2009

  • Queensway, Hastings
    • Section 278 works – Highway improvement works including the removal of vegetation, construction of central traffic island, carriageway widening, construction of pedestrian crossing, construction of grasscrete maintenance area and associated works.
  • Colhay Bridge
    • Infilling of Bridge, fencing and landscaping works.
  • Knowles Viaduct
    • Brickwork repairs including vegetation removal throughout the structure including re-mortaring open joints and fractures, patch and isolated brick replacement.  Repairs were also carried out to fractures in the parapets.
  • Armour Plate Shop, Chatham Dockyard
    • The repair, refurbishment and adaption of the Armour Plate Shop (a grade II listed building) including the refurbishment of the external building envelope, extension of rail line into the building, formation of an inspection pit, creation of workshop welfare facilities, upgrading of light, power and ventilation and the creation of visitor viewing picnic and play areas.
  • Lydd Camp – Odeon Cinema Toilets
    • Repairs and replacement of male and female toilet facilities to provide a more larger and modern facility.
  • West Hampsted Station
    • Installation of platform extensions to Platforms 2, 3, and 4.  Due to the location of an existing Thames Water Sewer part of platform 4 construction had to be bridged.
  • St Albans Station
    • Construction of new platform extensions to all platforms.  Platforms were constructed by excavating footings and constructing cross walls with hollow plank placed on top to form the main platform base.
  • Parkers Road/Car Park
    • The works involved the refurbishment of the existing HGV parking area, access road and associated civils and services works.
  • Hoo Centre
    • The works involved minor alteration to the alignment of the junction with Church Street, the introduction of a flat topped speed hump, the reconstruction of the Amenity Area fronting the shops including high quality paving, drainage and road lighting.
  • Dental Practice, New Romney
    • Refurbishment and adaption of 17 Littlestone Road to create a Dental Surgery including all associated works.
  • Colhay Bridge NCL/38
    • Infilling of Bridge, fencing and landscaping works.
  • Weatherhill Depot
    • Emergency cable repairs – installation of new three phase cables in existing ducting and new switch fuse on the outside of the existing electrical cupboard.
  • Tramlink Track Crossings
    • Improvement works to three uncontrolled crossings on the Croydon to Wimbledon branch.
  • Minley HGV Entrance & GB 1004 and GB1005
    • The works involved the construction of heavy goods entrance and all associated works.  We also constructed the foundations, drainage and sub-structure to building for the new office.
  • Hertford College
    • Section 278 works which were carried out in three phases and involved the removal of splitter islands, construction of new bellmouth, new island and new drainage.  We also installed new kerbs and build outs.
  • Bexhill Town Paving
    • Brick pavement works to footpaths and associated works, all at various sites.
  • Priory Square, Hastings Phase 3
    • Works involved the infilling of existing basement, hard landscaping, tree planting, drainage, seating, associated lighting/M&E installations
  • Spexhalls Rail Bridge
    • Bridge deck replacement.
  • Manningtree South
    • Embankment stabilisation and remedial works.
  • Norbiton Station
    • Enhancement and enabling works for gate line.
  • Farthing Corner
    • Internal alteration works to existing office and ancillary accommodation.
  • Haslemere Station
    • Gateline and building refurbishment including alterations to the booking hall and installation of disabled persons toilet.
  • Raynes Park Station
    • Works involved a new public entrance, booking hall, automatic ticket gating and ticket office with associated staff mess room, toilet and mess rooms.
  • RAF Croughton Roofs
    • Replacement of roofs to four buildings and associated works.
  • Hinchley Wood Railway Bridge (Old & New)
    • New reinforced concrete top slab and plinths to new bridge.  New reinforced concrete plinths to old bridge.  New waterproofing system, installation of new parapets, safety barriers and resurfacing to both bridges.
