Contracts List 2010

  • Shorncliffe Waste Centre
    • The works involved the overlaying of the reinforced concrete compactor/container slab, extension of concrete bays for container storage, resurfacing/overlay of bituminous areas, kerbing and provison of new road markings.
  • Elstree & Borehamwood Stations
    • We carried out civil engineering works in connection with the remodelling of the station forecourt including demolition, earthworks, drainage, paving and street furniture to improve the passenger interchange.
  • West Hampstead Gate Line
    • Works involved a topographical survey, trial holes, design of proposed foundations, the preparation of civil and M & E drawings and the preparation of specifications.
  • Car Parks Tranche 3
    • Re-marking and minor ground works at Crewkerne and Farnborough Stations, surfacing works at Bentley, Easyleigh, Farnham, London Road – Guildford, Netley, Shawford and Warysbury Stations and lighting and CCTV works to Netley and Wraysbury stations.
  • St Georges, Cobham
    • The works involved the construction of five ensuite bedrooms, conservatory and all associated works.
  • Rye Library
    • The works involved the conversion of a Woolworth’s store and associated office space to a new library facility including basement store, interview rooms and staff facilities.
  • SAGA – Car Park Extension
    • The works involved the construction of an extension to the existing car park and associated drainage and lighting works.
  • Pearce – Gillingham
    • Section 278 Scheme – The works involved the construction of new roundabouts, slip road, drainage, traffic signals, resurfacing works to the main roundabout coming off the M2 and associated works.
  • Tesco Store, Yiewsley
    • Section 278 works – the works involved the installation of off site highway works including, drainage, earthworks, landscaping, kerbs, footways and paved areas, fencing, pedestrian guardrails and traffic signal installation.
  • University Road
    • The works involved the reconstruction of University Road including drainage repairs, installation of speed cushions, footway works, installation of a crossing point, road markings and guardrail installation.
  • Fawley Tunnel
    • Tunnel repairs including brickwork repointing, crack stitch repairs and arch spandral pinning.
  • Gasworks Lane, Ashford
    • The works included the removal of existing services and current storage facilities.  A replacement temporary storage building and smaller office building were built plus provision of tarmacadam surface for parking and areas for skips.
  • Kent Patching 2010/2011
    • Weather damage repairs to roads in East Kent and South Kent predominately patching and repairs to potholes.
  • Willingdon Community School
    • Construction of a new detached two storey food technology pod including necessary amendments and/or alterations to services and external works
  • Crook Log Primary School
    • The construction of a building extension to the school to provide a SEN (Special Education Needs) facility.  The works included drainage and electrical works.
  • Fawley Tunnel
    • Tunnel repairs including brickwork repointing, crack stitch repairs and arch spandral pinning.
  • Croydon Tramlink 2010/11
    • Track crossings implementation works on the Beckenham Line to Lloyds Park Crossing.
  • Car Parks Tranche 1
    • Works to create additional parking bays at several locations including all associated works.
  • Stamford Hill – Seven Sisters
    • Embankment stabilisation works including footway construction and associated works.
  • Seymour Leisure Centre – Changing Rooms
    • A complete re-fit of the male and female changing rooms and corridors incorporating 15 areas that included shower and toilet facilities.  The works also included a comprehensive refurbishment of a squash court.
  • Southampton Parkway
    • Provision of new covered walkways, cycle and trolley storage and new cycle path and associated works at Southampton Airport Parkway station.
  • Knowles Viaduct
    • Brickwork repairs including vegetation removal throughout the structure including re-mortaring open joints and fractures, patch and isolated brick replacement.  Repairs were also carried out to fractures in the parapets.
  • Oldborough School
    • Section 278 highway improvements for school development at Boughton Lane including revised signal controlled junction at Sutton Road.  The works also involved footway improvements/drainage works and pedestrian measures.
  • Manor Royal A23 Crawley Phase 2
    • Section 278 work s including the installation of new traffic signals and carriageway reconstruction and re-alignment works.
