Seymour Leisure Centre
Location: Seymour Leisure Centre, Westminster
Description: Alteration Works
The works:
Seymour Leisure Centre is a grade II listed building. The works were carried out within a live busy leisure centre in London W1; we carried out structural demolition including the temporary structural support works in order to create a 14m high, 15m by 6m internal space within the building. We then installed extensive structural steel works that included a hanging gallery and a five flight set of stairs with stainless steel and glass balustrades. To complete the works we have built a 13.5m high climbing wall within this space and two other climbing walls in other areas, all fully air conditioned with the equipment being craned in.
This was a high profile Blue Flag project for Westminster City Council and had to be carried out to a congested road locked building.

Armour Plate Shop
Location: Chatham Historic Dockyard
Description: Refurbishment and alteration works
The works:
The works involved the repair, refurbishment and adaption of the armour plate shop (a grade ii listed building in the Chatham Historic Dockyard and part of a conservation area) including the refurbishment of the external building envelope, extension of rail line into the building, formation of an inspection pit, creation of workshop welfare facilities, upgrading of light, power and ventilation and the creation of visitor viewing picnic and play areas.

Paddington Pavillion

Description: Complete Refurbishment of the Pavillion
The works:
The works involved a complete refurbishment of the existing two storey Pavilion and the construction of a single storey extension containing changing rooms and ancillary accommodation. The works also included the installation of 50,000 litre underground water storage tank and water cannon irrigation system for maintaining the international hockey pitch – this project was a Westminster City Council ‘Blue Flag’ project.

Age Concern

Description: Extension to the Age Concern facilites unit
The works:
The design and construction of a new single storey rehabilitation unit with a corridor link to the existing Day Care Centre.
Other specialist facilities installed were a Hair Salon, Visiting Specialist Room, Footcare Room, Kitchen, Offices and Disabled toilets all constructed to cater for the special needs of the elderly.
In addition the development included some alteration works within the existing building together with external paving and drainage works.

Visitor Centre

The works:
The works comprised of internal alterations, demolition of existing walls and toilets. The construction of new toilets, new waiting area, customer service centre including meeting rooms and conference room, these works were carried out in a four phase programme which allowed continuous use.

Eurotunnel
Location: EUROTUNNEL, FOLKESTONE, KENT
Description: SERVICE DELIVERY BUILDING
The works:
Provision of new Service Delivery Building and alterations to existing building.
The work involved the construction of a two-storey steel frame building.
The building is linked to an existing building via an enclosed bridge. A lift is installed for easy access to the first floor and existing attached building.
The building has been designed to cater for Eurotunnel Crew Train staff and is in operation 24 hours per day. The facilities provided include a number of offices, teaching rooms, meeting room, large TV lounge, computer rooms, disable toilet, male and female toilets, showers and locker rooms, lift engine room, reception and staircase leading to the first floor.
The external works involved the installation of cycle sheds, waste bin compound and car parking for 100 cars.

Julie Rose Stadium

Description: EXTENSION TO EXISTING BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW MULTI USE GAMES AREA
The works:
An extension to the existing building at the south end of the stadium forming ground and lower floor levels. The construction of a new Multi Use Games Area, including flood lighting.
Extension to building involved excavation and construction of new foundations, brickwork and blockwork, erection of new structural steel frames, breaking through to link up to the existing building, installation of windows and doors, decoration, roofing, gutters and down pipes, installation of external ramp and staircases and various associated external works.
Construction of a new MUGA consisted of clearance of vegetation, excavation, disposal of waste material, construction of games area, installation of new electrical services, erection of games boundary fence and ball court markings.

Leicester Central Trains

Liverpool Street Station

Description: REFURBISHMENT OF TICKET OFFICE INTO A FIRST CLASS TICKET LOUNGE
The works:
The works comprised of external and internal alterations to the existing Anglia/one Railway Ticket Office.
We had to remove the existing ticket counters (3 No) and install a new electric automatic opening double door.
All internal partitions had to be removed which separated the existing ticket office, lobby and back office so that there is now an open plan unit which we added the fixtures, fittings and furnishings turning it into a first class lounge.

RAF Croughton

The works:
The repair of Building 105 Food Court facilities including increasing the AAFES facilities within Building 105. The works included new external windows, doors, access ramps, full electrical re-wire, replacement heating systems. The construction of internal stud walls, reorganisation of the toilet facilities and the construction of a new DDA/ADA compliant toilet. Repairs, repointing of external brickwork and internal re-decorations with new ceilings.

Folkestone West Station

Description: RENOVATION OF DISUSED ROOMS FOR USE AS VSOE WAITING ROOMS
The works:
The works involved the provision of new waiting lounges in both the up and down side buildings which were for many years left derelict rooms within the existing station buildings. The works included heavy duty wood flooring, painting to match the VSOE corporate colours, pew style seating, wall lighting, chandeliers and a reclaimed fireplace. We also provided new toilet facilities in both up and down side buildings.
